“Imperial” Ambitions

In the 21st century, it is disheartening to observe that Russia, in my view, has become trapped in the distant past, holding onto a nostalgic longing for “heroic, great achievements.” Consequently, it seems to be treading confidently on a path leading back to the Middle Ages.

This vast and resource-rich country possesses invaluable material and human assets. However, I cannot shake the feeling that these resources are being squandered, with the sole purpose being to grasp onto power for personal greedy interests, enjoying impunity, and stealing money without any regard for the consequences or the future.
